One of the most critical concerns for parents is finding a church family to help build great moral character and values in the lives of their children. Here at St. Andrews Baptist Church, we provide a safe environment where boys and girls can learn principles from the Bible that will help them make wise choices, and give them anchors for life. Our teaching team of caring adults is committed to making children’s experiences fun and exciting, but also meaningful and relevant to their everyday lives.

Sunday School:

On Sunday mornings at 9:15AM children are involved in hands-on Bible learning activities appropriate for their age group. During these activities, teachers communicate the biblical message through the Bible story, Bible verse, and song. Each Sunday teachers help children make life applications and lay spiritual foundations in the children's lives.

Wednesday Night:

On Wednesday nights starting at 6 pm, children ages 4 through 6th grade attend Children's Choir and then one of our mission classes starting at 6:45 pm. Children attend different classes according to their age based on curriculum designed specific to their age.
Music is where your child can participate in a children's choir learning the basics about notes, rhythm and singing. Children also perform during Sunday Morning services at different times throughout the year to share with the congregation what they are learning. We are very proud of our children at any time our children's choirs perform is a special treat.

During mission groups children not only learn about what participating in missions looks like, they actually do mission activities. These groups learn about others around the world who serve and do things to help others with needs as well as learn about God. They also learn how they to can help others right where they are at their young age.

The three mission classes of SABC are:

Mission Friends for preschoolers

As preschoolers grow and begin to develop a biblical worldview through missions discipleship, they move from a focus on self to a focus on others and begin to learn how they can help others in need and share God's love.

Royal Ambassadors: Boys in grades 1-6

Royal Ambassadors (RA's) is a missions organization for boys in grades 1-6 that helps them develop a Biblical worldview with an emphasis on missions learning and missions doing. RA's utilizes activities that are designed to help boys learn about missions and get them personally involved in practical missions experiences while having fun.
The Purpose of Royal Ambassadors is to involve boys in missions. Involvement in missions is living one's faith daily: personal experience in witness and ministry, and giving and praying to support persons involved in missions. The Royal Ambassador program helps boys to become aware of the needs of people around the world and to respond to those needs. The organization seeks to lead boys to a personal commitment to Christ and assist them in their Christian growth experience. Through Royal Ambassadors, boys are led to an awareness of their responsibility to Christ and encouraged to become His ambassador. This purpose is outlined in the Royal Ambassador Pledge:
As a Royal Ambassador I will do my best:

  • To become a well-informed, responsible follower of Christ
  • To have a Christ-like concern for all people
  • To learn how to carry the message of Christ around the world
  • To work with others in sharing Christ
  • To keep myself clean and healthy in mind and body

Girls in Action: Girls in grades 1-6

Girls in Action (GA) is an exciting and fun-filled missions education organization for girls in grades 1-6. Through GA, girls gain a greater understanding of God's work in the world and how they can join Him in His work.

As GAs meet and learn together, they "travel" to various places around the world learning about the work of missionaries, praying for others, learning what the Bible says about missions and serving others, and learning what they can do in their own communities to serve and share Jesus with others. GA helps girls gain a biblical worldview that challenges them to live a missions lifestyle everywhere they go and in whatever they may do.
In GA, girls learn:

  • a biblical worldview
  • ways to demonstrate Christ's love to others
  • how God is working around the world
  • their part of God's plan

GA is designed with girls' unique characteristics in mind. GA helps girls grow spiritually, recognizing the varying developmental stages of girls in each grade. GA materials are designed to help both younger and older girls have missions experiences that lay a foundation for coming to faith in Christ as Savior and make missions an important part of their daily lives.
GA OBJECTIVES:

  • Pray for missions
  • Engage in mission action and witnessing
  • Learn about missions
  • Support missions
  • Develop spiritually toward a missions lifestyle
  • Participate in the work of the church
